“The Greenlandic Monument” (Grønlandsmonumentet)

Address: Christianshavns Torv
Voice: Sirí Paulsen
Turn around and walk/transport yourself to the back of the square near SuperBrugsen (the supermarket). Here you see the monument “The Greenlandic Monument” (Grønlandsmonumentet) which was created in 1938 by the Danish artist Svend Rathsack.

Please note that the benches around the Greenlandic Monument is a meeting place and hangout spot for many vulnerable people. Please respect their privacy and their right to use the square.
Excerpt
Read emails twice before sending them
Always speak loud and clear
Never get offended by jokes
Always wear black
Bike everywhere
Never smell of sweat, but also not of perfume
Never get drunk.

The poem was created in a workshop preparing for the CPH:DOX 2020 opening ceremony, with Alberte Lings Skifte, Carmina Guldmann, Amisuna Berthelsen and Malu Rosing.
